Hello, I’m Michelle, a qualified clinical nutritionist with a Bachelor of Health Science degree in Nutritional Medicine, a Member of the Australian Natural Therapists Association (ANTA), and a registered Associate Nutritionist with the Nutrition Society of Australia (NSA). I am also a mum to two energetic kids & a step-mum to two young adults, a kitchen experimenter, a lover of good food, an advocate of regular exercise, and absolutely love sharing my passion for sustainable nutrition!
.
My path to holistic health, like many, has not been straightforward but from the age of nine I have understood the power of food as medicine. Following years of runny noses, a barking cough, and asthmatic like symptoms my mum took me to a Naturopath. After a thorough assessment, they recommended I remove wheat and dairy from my diet – this was a game changer! According to my mum, within a week I was a different child. Whilst I outgrew these intolerances, I think this experience planted a seed that flourished as I had children of my own.
Health and good food have always been part of my life. From the days in my youth as a competitive sportswoman, health and nutrition has always played a part. However, the path to my career in Nutritional Medicine has been full of twists and turns.
I have always been passionate about making the world a better place and early in my career found my home working in the not-for-profit sector in the UK and Australia. When I settled down with a family of my own, the inconsistencies and inequities I had seen around good food knowledge and availability really sunk in. I had seen first-hand the devastating impact poor nutrition can have, from obesity, to mental health disorders and malnutrition, and I wanted to be part of the solution. So, I chose to further my knowledge and understanding of nutrition and disease states, to directly support the health needs of individuals.

It is such a privilege to be a practitioner; to be able to listen and support my clients through their journey. It amazes me every single day and I am often left in awe of their strength and the hardships they have had to go through. I feel very strongly about connecting my clients with other great practitioners and educating them on what is happening with their bodies and what we can do to bring them to a higher state of health.
My aim is to simplify your health and remove barriers that may hinder you from achieving your best. I support each patient in finding their own version of health through education, understanding and experience. No fads or unconventional methods, simply quality advice you will understand.
Being nourished is about more than just what you put on your plate. I look not only at what you eat, but how you eat and how you live, and help optimise your health. When I am not working with clients, I am co-managing our busy household, running with our dog Douglas, HIIT training, sharing my kitchen experiments with friends or escaping to Wye River, my happy place, to swim in the ocean.
